Farewell Party “ULLAS – 18”

Delhi Public school Barra held the Farewell Party (Ullas – 18) for the outgoing batch of class – XII on 27th December, 2018, with “Cold Days Warm Hearts” as the theme of the party. Mrs. Bandana Misra Pro-Vice Chairperson was the chief guest of the occasion while Member  Managing Committee, Mr. Devavrata Misra was the Guest of Honour.

Principal, Mrs. Shilpa Manish extended a warm welcome to the dignatries.

The class XII students looked graceful in beautiful sarees and formal suits. They were welcomed in a grand manner. A cultural programme followed with the “Medley Song” presentation in which students of class XI presented some famous songs based on school days. The “Ramp Walk” of class XII students was the most awaited segment of the event. Beautiful divas and handsome boys of class XII took the ramp in the most elegant manner.

The “Surprise Basket” was very entertaining for the participants as well as for the audience. Students were felicitated with different Tags. Utkarsh Tripathi was declared as Student of the Year. Saral Verma was declared as Einstein of the year. The title of Helping Hand was given to Shivangi Gupta. Priyanshu Gupta was declared as Book worm of the Year. The Title of Ever ready Student was given to Anushka Tomar. Priyanshu Chatterjee was declared as The Crowd Puller. The title of Mathematician of the year was given to  Vaibhav Keshari.  In “My Experience” students shared their heartfelt experience and paid gratitude to the Management, Principal and Faculty.

The most exciting segment of the programme was “The Crowning Glory” when the coveted titles were announced. Pratul Sachan & Ayushi Chauhan were declared “Mr. DPS”  &  “Ms. DPS”. Garv Srivastava bagged the title of “Tech Guru”, Vaibhav Keshari was honoured as “Sparkling Star”. Harshita Singh & Priyanshu Chatterjee as “Ms. Popular” and “Mr. Popular”. Aparna Verma and Divyansh Bajpai were declared as  “Ms. Forget Me not” and “Mr. Forget me not”. The titles of “Mr. Talented” and “Ms. Talented” were given to Shubham Shivhare and Yashika Singh.

Kunal Yadav was declared as the “Sports Star”. Aditi Singh & Manish Singh Yadav were declared as “Ms. Well Groomed” and “Mr. Well Groomed”. The titles of “Mr. Regular” were given to Shubham Shivhare and Pratul Sachan. Yashika Verma was declared as “Orator of the Year”. Prachi Saxena was declared as Fashionable Diva and Krishna Chawla was declared as Fashionable Icon. Aditi Singh & Tarandeep Singh were declared as “Mr. Ullas-18” & “Ms. Ullas-18”

 Mr. Devavrata Misra congratulated the students and with his words boosted their morale for the upcoming Board Exams. Principal, Mrs. Shilpa Manish showered her blessings by wishing them good luck for their bright future.

It was a memorable occasion which shall go down in the history of Delhi Public School Barra.

UMANG 2018

Delhi Public School Barra was abuzz with zeal and zest on the occasion of the Annual Concert of the school “Umang-2018” organized on 7th December ’18. Pro-Vice Chairperson, Mrs Bandana Misra, was the Chief Guest of the occasion. Founder, Mr Alok Misra was the Guest of Honour. Mr Devavrata Misra, Member, Managing Committee, DPS Barra along with Mrs Rachana Mohotra, Director DPS Barra and Principal DPS Azaad Nagar graced the occasion. The other distinguished guests and parent fraternity witnessed the event in large numbers. Umang – 2018 commenced with the ceremonial Lighting of the Lamp by the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and the other dignitaries.The Principal, Mrs. Shilpa Manish extended a  warm welcome to the guests and dignitaries and presented the Annual School Report. In order to seek divine blessings the senior students performed “ SHIVA Vandana”  in classical dance form and gave the evening a divine feel. The School Choir took the audience on a melodious journey as they sang the glory of the  Almighty God for blessing us with the beauty of nature. To keep the magical mood alive and to celebrate their childlike spirit, the Pre-Primary and class I tiny tots of DPS Barra took everyone to the magical land of ‘ SUPERHEROES’.

The School Orchestra presented the musical talent of the school,  full of energy thus creating a magical effect on the audience. The young hip-hoppers of classes IV and V delighted the audience in Get Set Go. The beautifully dressed girls of classes VI, VII and VIII paid a glorious tribute to fathers in ‘LAADKI’. The senior boys of the school showcased their talent in Ninja Warriors. The senior girls glorified the feminine grace in ‘Nritya Shakti’. The liveliness, rich tradition and colour of Gujarat was perfectly exhibited in Raas Garba. ‘Masked Menace’ attracted everyone as the dancers wore a mask to show that ‘they were all one’  thus giving the audience an experience of a whole.

The Grand Finale based on the power of peace motivated the audience to introspect and rise for the glory of their nation. Founder Mr Alok Misra praised the students for their exceptional talent.Mr. Devavrata Misra, Member, Managing Committee, proposed the Vote of Thanks. The Chief Guest ‘Mrs. Bandana Misra’ appreciated the efforts and hard work of the students and teachers. The Annual Concert was much appreciated by the parents.Umang-2018 came to an end with the National Anthem.
