Astronomy Laboratory Inauguration

A well equipped Astronomy Laboratory was established at DPS BARRA, Kanpur with the aim of developing scientific temper among school students. The Lab was inaugurated on 18th October, 2023 by Dr Mayank Dwivedi, Director, Defense Material.
Director,Mrs Rachna Mohotra and other dignitaries of the school were also present on the occasion.
The school Principal, Mrs Jayanti Mitra extended a warm welcome to the guests with floral greetings.
The Inauguration Ceremony commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the eminent Chief guest and other dignitaries.
The Chief Guest Dr Mayank Dwivedi addressed the students and enlightened them with his motivational speech.
In his inaugural address he said that the astronomy lab will certainly benefit school children at large and he encouraged students to make the best use of it. He emphasized that it would not only foster a deeper understanding of space but also inspire students to consider careers in space sciences.
The inauguration Ceremony ended with the National Anthem.
