Diwali Celebration

On 29 Nov 2024, Delhi Public School, Barra, Kanpur celebrated Diwali with immense enthusiasm and excitement, bringing together students, teachers, and staff in a beautiful display of culture, creativity, and festive spirit. The campus was adorned with beautiful decorations, including colorful rangolis, sparkling lights, and hundreds of diyas (oil lamps) that lit up the entire school.

A Cultural Program followed, with students performing traditional dances, skits, and Diwali songs. The skit, which depicted the story of Lord Rama’s return to Ayodhya, was a reminder of the significance of Diwali in our cultural heritage. The lively dance performances filled the air with energy, and the Diwali songs filled our hearts with joy.

Esteemed principal Ms. Jayanti Mitra addressed all present. In her interaction, she promoted an eco-friendly Diwali, encouraging everyone to celebrate the festival responsibly and emphasized the importance of using safe and sustainable decorations and avoiding the bursting of crackers to reduce pollution.

Overall, the Diwali celebration at our school was a memorable and meaningful event that fostered a sense of unity, joy, and cultural pride among all participants. It was a beautiful reminder of the values of light, hope, and love, which Diwali brings into our lives every year.
