KSS Hindi Debate Competition 2024

“The goal of debate should not be conflict but a solution.”
Delhi Public School Barra, Kanpur organized a spirited and intellectually stimulating KSS Inter School Debate Competition where 20 schools participated with immense zeal aimed at fostering critical thinking, public speaking skills and healthy competition among students.

The programme commenced with the lighting of lamp. The judges were warmly welcomed, introduced and felicitated. The topic of the event was “Aadhunik Bharat me Mahilayen Poortyan Surakshit Hain”. The event showcased the talent and eloquence of all the participants. The debaters strongly expressed their views with confidence and conviction. The audience was absolutely captivated by the oratory skills of the budding debaters as they put forth their arguments with clarity and poise.

The judges of the event were (1) Dr. Rajesh Tiwari, Assistant Professor DAV College, Kanpur (2) Dr. Rajkumar, Assistant Professor DAV College, Kanpur and (3) Dr. Om Prakash Pathak, Hindi Lecturer, BNSD College, Kanpur.

The observer of the event was Mr. Sandeep Singh, Principal, Prithviraj Chauhan Education Centre, Bhaunti, Kanpur.
The results were verified by Mr. Ravijeet Singh Chhabra from DPS Barra, Kanpur.

Each participant was given a designated time to present their arguments and rebuttals, adhering to strict rules of decorum and time management. Judges assessed the depth of analysis, clarity of expression, persuasiveness of arguments, and adherence to debate etiquette.

The principal of the school Mrs. Jayanti Mitra addressed the gathering. In her opening remarks, she emphasized the importance of debate in fostering analytical thinking and building confidence in students. After her address, she announced the results of the competition and awarded the winners.
