Annual Award Ceremony
Delhi Public School Barra, pulsated with energy and enthusiasm as it held the Annual Award Ceremony “SHINING STARS” for the Academic Session 2023-24. Every year the Award Ceremony is organized to shower accolades on the winners and to aspire them further to keep up the good work.
Mr. Mohsin Khan ACP CRIME, Kanpur was the Chief Guest of the occasion.
The Ceremony began with the auspicious lighting of the lamp followed by a melodious presentation of School Choir. The Awards were categorized according to the achievement of the students. The Award for Application went to the students with an outstanding performance, having achieved the highest annual percentage in the class. The next category was the Award for General Proficiency. It was given to the students who were not only good at academics but were also able to mark their presence in all the areas of school life. The third category was the Award for Consistency. The recipients were the ones who had shown their consistent perseverance throughout the academic year. Students who displayed their determination and zeal to excel in every field were honoured with the All Round Good Performance Award. Oratory is an art which adds to the personality, marking a huge difference in the society. It requires planning, clarity of thought and a well-constructed speech. The students with their command over English language were presented the Award for Good Spoken English. Certain students who get a late wakeup call even though they are capable of doing well, show improvement upon their grades by the end of the year. These students were awarded for General Improvement. The next category of Award was for Full Attendance. The students who had not missed the school even for a single day fell into the category of Full Attendance Award and were honoured with the certificate of Appreciation. The most important Award of the day was the Scholar of the Year Award. The school honoured those students who had secured 90% and above during the Academic Session. The last category of Award were the Scholar Badges and the Merit Badges. Students who were honoured with the Scholar Badge were who had scored 90% and above for three consecutive years. The Chief Guest Mr. Mohsin Khan, congratulated the recipients and motivated the non recipients to endeavour for the next session. The Principal, Mrs Jayanti Mitra emphasized that there is no end to improvement so all students should strive to work hard in achieve whatever they desire in life. She rendered the Vote of Thanks and applauded the winners. The Award Ceremony ended with the National Anthem.
