Investiture Ceremony

On 28th August, 2024 the new prefect body of Delhi Public School, Barra, Kanpur was invested with duties for the Academic Session 2024-25. The ceremony began with warm welcome of Joint Commissioner, CGST and Central Excise, Kanpur – Mr. Shashi Shekhar as the Chief Guest, by founder of DPS Kanpur, Mr. Alok Misra and the Principal, Ms. Jayanti Mitra. It was followed by the marching of the members to the stage in synchronisation with encouraging music that replicated the aura of the ceremony. To help the students feel the sense of responsibility, they were invested with the duties of office bearers and decorated with badges and sashes by distinguished School Founder, Principal and Chief Guest.
The proceedings of the function commenced with enchanting and captivating choir and a dance performance which filled the atmosphere with exuberance. Honourable chief guest, Mr. Shashi Shekhar administered the oath to the newly elected council members, symbolizing their commitment to their duties and responsibilities. Principal also delivered a motivating speech encouraging the council members to lead with integrity, dedication and teamwork. Akshat Gupta and Arohi Yadav were appointed as Head Boy and Head Girl. Ishika Singh and Anurag Verma were elected as Cultural Secretary, Anshuman Yadav and Yashi Katiyar as Sports Captains. The grand event ended on a solemn note as the council members promised to carry in their hearts, the values that they have imbibed over the years.
