Diwali Celebration 2025-26

The festival of lights, Diwali, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion at DPS Barra. The entire campus was adorned with diyas, rangolis, and festive decorations, reflecting the spirit of joy and togetherness.
The celebration commenced with a Prayer, invoking the blessings of the Almighty for peace, prosperity, and wisdom. This was followed by the Pledge, reaffirming the students’ commitment to truth, harmony, and environmental responsibility—especially to celebrate an eco-friendly Diwali.
The Thought of the Day inspired everyone to live by the virtues of goodness and righteousness, reminding us that Diwali symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and good over evil.
Students then presented a short segment on the Importance and Significance of Diwali, emphasizing its cultural, spiritual, and social relevance. They highlighted how the festival teaches us to dispel ignorance and embrace knowledge and compassion.
A beautiful Poem on Ram Charitra was recited, depicting the noble deeds and virtues of Lord Rama, which filled the audience with reverence and admiration. The school Choir then rendered a melodious song capturing the festive spirit of Diwali, spreading joy through their harmonious voices.
The highlight of the day was the Dance-cum-Drama performance, which portrayed scenes from the Ramayana — Lord Rama’s return to Ayodhya after fourteen years of exile. The graceful dance movements and expressive acting captivated everyone’s hearts.
The celebration concluded with an Address by the Principal, who appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers for organizing such a vibrant and meaningful programme. In her inspiring message, she urged everyone to celebrate Diwali responsibly, by spreading happiness, helping those in need, and lighting up lives with kindness and positivity.
The event truly embodied the spirit of Diwali — a celebration of light, hope, and goodness.
